Filling caps are located on the side of each piece to fill with water or sand, meaning you can fill them up when and where needed. Please note, the cross base is NOT included.

For information though, I managed to fit 5 bags of sand into the 4 bases & also put water in there, the one section I weighed was 35KG so that makes a total of 140KG rather than the 120KG claimed max from Outsunny.

Only suggestion for future development would be to have one section have a lower height at the centre to allow for the foot swivel that allows the movement in many large parasols that these heavier type weights are designed to hold down.

Fedora 13/02/2024Holds my 3m cantilever parasol up just fine ( we have had some windy weather )and its filled only with water so about 80kg in weight ! Looks not too bad too !

anonymous 26/06/2023We have owned similar parasols and bases before. This base was well packaged and easy to set up. It is more robust than the bases we have previously bought but the price is somewhat high, given the simple material costs.

Mr M Guta 12/06/2023I like the design and it's nice and flat, but with a slight taper on the outside which makes them less of a trip hazard. I filled them up with kiln dried sand, it's much easier than others and you don't risk them cracking in winter.
anonymous 19/05/2023Bought these because if the way they sit over the parasol cross bars, so looks a lot neater. Also wanted a nice flat surface so I can stand plant pits safely on it (the footprint is large so takes up a lot of space) Does the job great!
anonymous 01/05/2023Used kiln dried sand to fill, luckily I had an old funnel for filling the salt dispenser on a dishwasher, made an easy job of filling the sand.
