My flat is prone to damp and I have no window in the bathroom so I really needed something powerful to prevent mould from building up. This certainly fits the bill and I was actually quite shocked by how humid my place is, although we're still a while away from winter. If your place is as humid as mine, 2.5L adds up fast so make sure you check and change the tank regularly if you're using it for a while at a time. It's not very loud in operation but you can change the settings easily. You can physically feel the difference in air quality in rooms after this has been used. It's big but not too heavy to move about to your desired location. Overall, I'm really impressed and think this is worth every penny.

Can’t turn on for 24hrs, fluid has to settle like a new fridge. Wish it had a remote. Needs a setting symbol infographic sticker; refer to the manual instead. Air drying rack time in half. Heavy, thankfully has wheels. It can turn on based on the humidity setting. Clothes dry mode is like a fan vent. Will update on energy usage. Tip: hang heavier, slow dry items like jeans/joggers on hangers to the door frame and put this under.

Had this unit running for 3 days now, the amount of water it collects is quite amazing, it's so easy to use, quiet and cheap to run. I dried laundry in 2 days and used less electricity compared to a dryer. Overall I would highly recommend this unit. It has 3 settings and 2 fan speeds. Great for an average 2-bed semi.

We have major issues in our home with damp and are constantly have to battle the mould on the walls and around the windows (although we hope the new windows we're getting fitted in a few week time will help). The HOMCOM Dehumidifier is just the thing we needed, and we're delighted with it so far. We are currently moving it from room to room to work its magic. It is a little on the heavy side but does come on castors making it easy to wheel from room to room. It comes with a 2.5 litres water tank and when this is full the machine stops and displays the full tank icon on the top LED screen. It does however also come with a separate pipe that inserts into the water tank. Simply insert the pipe into the water tank opening and place the other end of the pipe into a suitable receptacle, (obviously bigger than 2.5 litres) to allow for 'continuous draining,' negating the need to empty the water tank so often. There are three modes on the machine, dehumidify, laundry and continuous. For the laundry mode, the manual states to put the clothes and the machine in a small room to help dry them off, really convenient this time of year, especially if one doesn't have a tumble drier (I don't). There are also two fan speeds. The fan speed, along with the dehumidifying modes and timer etc are all controlled via the touchpad on the top. There are two LED screens displaying the humidity level, one on the top and one on the side, making it easy to see at a glance what it is. It's a very robust looking and feeling machine, and seems like it will stand the test of time. Like I said earlier, it's a little weighty when carrying it up and down the stairs, but moves from room to room on the castors (if being used in more than one place). There is also a little noise from the fan, but this is normal for these types of machines and it isn't really distracting in any way. I'm actually horrified (in a good way) as to how much water this machine is pulling out from the air in our rooms. Delighted with its performance so far.

This is quite a compact but efficient dehumidifier. I tested this overnight in one room and it easily removed more than a litre of water - you could also see much less water condensing on the window panes. There is a digital readout of humidity and I could see this had also fallen 20-25% overnight. The operation is a simple series of touch controls. There are a range of modes and speeds. The different modes are more about what settings you cannot change - the standard mode allows fan speed and humidity to be set. The timer function is more just a delay start (or stop) feature and needs to be reset each time. The fan is quite noisy on both speeds and you would not want this running in the same room as you. Perhaps ideal to have on when out or in rooms not in use. This is no different from any other units with this output. There is no warranty information but there is a customer care contact. Given its performance, I am more than happy to recommend it.

We have a room that has really poor ventilation and as it has a shower room in it we need to use a dehumidifier to get rid of the excess air moisture until we have the room sorted.
