I didn't expect to get a massive cage and have to put it together, but once everything was put together it started to get better and I absolutely love it for my hamster as he's a big boy as he is a syrian hamster.

anonymous 10/08/2024At first I loved this cage, the only thing that ruined it was the realisation that it didn't meet the requirements for a Syrian hamster as regulations have changed. I'm 38 had a syrian has a child that live 4 years which was very old for a hamster. This is a castle in comparison to what I kept him in which is why at first I thought the cage was amazing. I thought I knew it all after already taking what I thought was good care of my hamster. I'm going to have to change it but I do love this cage so will be sad to see it go. Apparently levels and tunnels are a no no and it doesn't quite meet the size specifications for a Syrian he's a baby so it will have to do for now and ill have to replace it with a big wooden pawhut in the future but it is a big cage. The only down falls with the cage minus what I stated above are that My Syrian doesn't seem to be able to use the tunnels yet possibly because they are so wide and I can't take them off as then it would have two massive holes and they are wider than any tunnels I've seen so not sure if I can buy a cover to remove them. The wheel is useless, it's not big enough for any size hamster. I had to buy and fit a 28 cm wheel which was difficult as the ramp to the levels will only fit at certain sides of the cage so cannot be moved so now my hamster has to squeeze between the wheel and the ramp. Another thing was that the water bottle leaked everywhere and I had to replace it. I had to build up the sides for deeper bedding as hamsters need to dig and burrow. One a whole it would have been a great cage if it met the size requirements 100x50 minimum and the ramps could be adjusted and tunnels could be covered and removed.

Heidi Allebone 08/05/2024The new family hamster absolutely loves her new cage. It feels like she has been upgraded from a one bedroom bedsit to a penthouse. The quality of the cage is excellent and tubes are the perfect size for her. I love the fact it has a shelf to keep all the hamster bits and bobs out the way and stored nicely and the wheels are a added bonus, as my daughter can move the cage around, which makes cleaning the cage so much easier. I also found when purchasing the cage this was the best price around - so one happy hamster and customer
