Overall we are pleased with this, its is sturdy and pretty solid when you consider the cost and that its not real glass.Delivered in 2 boxes, 1 (lighter one) has the panels and the other (heavy) has the frame. The instructions are in the panel box (FYI!). Each part is very clearly labelled, including all the bolts and screws etc.A couple of gotchas to be aware of:If you are having a base then ensure it is level (or has the approved drainage slope if near a property) and square. You need to assemble the frame base edges first, when joining together there are 4 corner pieces that are desgined for knocking in the ground, or you cut them shorter. You will need a good blade on a hacksaw or an angle grinder to trim them. The plastic film on the base frame is a real PITA to remove, allow an hour to get it all, or most of it off.The instructions are all pictures only - or multi lingual if you prefer and its easy to make errors, so check each instruction carefully. But there is a mistake (more on that later)The supplied spanner and screwdriver are next to useless, and with only one spanner you cant tighten the bolts up properly - so a second spanner or a socket on a handle is a lot easier. As you build from the ground up, its fairly logical and you get into the swing of it fairly easily. Don't get complacent... if its going really well, take a breather as you have possibly gone out of square or similar. Its worth checking its square as you go.Dont over tighten the bolts as you do them, leave a little bit of play until the end - you will need to make adjustments and some gentle nudges here and there to get it to line up.I did most of this on my own, took about 10 hours in total, i admit i wasn't rushing but allow a good portion of time to do it, i am ok with flat pack stuff and a reasonable DIY level, so its not a 5 minute job. My wife helped when i needed her to keep one bit in place whilst i tightened another, or to hold a roof pane to fit the gutter etc.Now for the "mistake" in the instructions...The runner for the door goes to the right in the picture and mounts on a hole in the right hand roof apex. But the bracket that supports the door runner only neatly fits on the left. I went back and checked i had put all the pieces in the right place (and hadn't put 6a instead of 6 on the apex etc) and all was correct. I had to cut some of the door runner to accomodate the bracket. Again the trusty cordless angle grinder was a god send here! Now its up, how water tight and hot is it? Well in the recent hot weather, it was nearly 60 degrees in it, so it works. Nopw we had some rain today there are 2 places where it does let in a little bit of water. A corner behind the plastic gutter end and half way along the same side where the 2 side panel beams dont quite meet. In reality its probably a build error, but as i have sealed the bottom of the windows with clear sealant i will do those bits too.So why 4 and not 5 stars? Just small things like the door runner bracket; the feet needing to be cut; having to join 2 pieces together for the base frame, top of side and roof apex - intriduces weakness and potential water ingress points. I assume its dont this was for lower cost shipping and similar.Would i buy it again? i think so yes, as it does what it should (note the photos are before it got properly filled with greenery). But the main reason, is i got extra brownie points for doing it!
anonymous 16/06/2025This item was delivered on time and after several hours putting it together over the weekend, it looks absolutely amazing, at first it's a flimsy but when you start to put it all together it's very strong, best device read the instructions properly and your have a cracking little greenhouse.
anonymous 17/05/2025You have to take time building a lot of bolting up then unbolting to add another part but once you realise all goes together extremely well once guttering is on. happy with finished product and what a great price
anonymous 28/04/2025Delivery received as promised and in perfect condition.
anonymous 17/03/2025Got this greenhouse to replace a small plastic one. Ok there a lot and I mean a lot of nuts bolts and screws etc bit don’t be put off. Me and my husband took our time and built this over a weekend (got frame and polycarbonate sheets in ) and then finished the door, window and the finer details of the screws etc the following weekend (went to work inbetween lol). I am really pleased with the build and it seems very sturdy and put together well. The only issue we had was the bar not quite fitting but it does say you might have to cut things. So husband did a brilliant job at that and putting it all together. We might silicone all around it as it says it can be done later. So all in all a great greenhouse for the money and hoping my cucumbers and tomatoes thrive in there this year and hoping no slugs get in
David Brown 26/12/2024It was not quite as easy to put together as I thought, it does say it takes 2 people required to put together but managed by myself, but well worth it.
Aosom Customer 23/12/2024Very good value for money excellent
Aosom Customer 13/12/2024Start with finally! Great little green house, allow two good days to put up, I took 18hrs in total give or take 30 minutes or so. A great greenhouse.
Carole 03/08/2024I would say the quality of the product was very good compared to some, put together items, I have dealt with in the past, material was good and the parts did fit well. However first of all the manual should be in the frame box. Second it takes more then one person to assemble the unit. Third the instruction are not explicit as you get a section together then three pages later you discover that you should have slid several bolts down the frame, so back you go and disassemble the necessary sect
anonymous 10/07/2024Delighted with this product. Yet again I fine the products Aosom provide although competitively priced are of really good quality and feel sturdy. The greenhouse has been relatively easy to put up. Husband manged most himself with our son helping out in bits. A few fiddly parts but overall easy to construct.
rosemarie Spencer 20/04/2024Great size I insulted the bottom with foam. Keeps the heat well.
Al Ginart 12/04/2024We had a wind storm and it blew out 3 of the panels. It had mentioned that we should silicone in the panels for safe and best results! Live and Learn they say Other wise we are very happy with it.
anonymous 16/04/2023This greenhouse took a good few hours to erect as it said in the instructions but it wasn't difficult to do. We built it on a wooden base around the frame to make sure it was secure. We had some strong winds and it was fine. Very happy 😊 Fast delivery and great service 👍
anonymous 05/03/2023Aosom Customer 27/02/2023I’ve had my 6x8 for just about a year and could offer some help..
I found the instructions to be fairly clear and one tip is to ensure you start on a level surface. We put ours on a wooden deck type base. We found it helpful to lay out all the pieces by numbers on the grass or a flat table next to you as it makes putting it together easily. We strongly suggest two people to assemble this unit. A Screwdriver with a 10 mm socket on the end is very helpful for snuggling up the nuts. Do not tighten any nuts or bolts completely until you have it all put together. A snug fit is best as it will need to move a little to get some pieces to fit. A large framing square would be very helpful as it gets you close providing your starting base was level. After assembly you can go around and tighten up fully all the nuts and bolts I’ve also found it to stand up to Wind okay and to stand up to a snow load of 6 inches however this unit is not something you can set up and walk away from. I would say it is a light service greenhouse. that being said I am very happy with my purchase for the price. I did buy a automatic window opener for the window which seems to work good in the summertime. In the winter with the outdoor temperature of -8 in full sunlight on February 25 I reached the temperature of 17°C inside the greenhouse with full sun.
