First off I was very impressed that it arrived 2 Days before it was expected. Assembly was straightforward and I managed it on my own. It's certainly not a lightweight item compared to one's I've had in the past. As it stands it's well worth the money. As for being waterproof I can't comment on that yet as there has not been any rain so far.
