anonymous 03/04/2024This walk in greenhouse arrived very quickly in one cardboard box. The product weight was fine for lifting and it fitted in the back of small family hatch back with the rear seats folded down (Dacia Sandero). It has been installed on an allotment and is the 8ftx6ft maximum size allowed. I was able to put the frame together fairly quickly on my own and used a 10mm ring spanner, having read another review where this was recommended. There is an open ended 10mm spanner in the kit of parts. The instructions were clear and accurate. One tool you will find useful to have is a hammer or mallet to knock the plastic end caps into open tubing of the frame where the cover goes over. I was part way through putting the covering on the frame when a fellow allotment holder gave me a helping hand, so what would have been a 5 minute job became a 2 minute job. The frame is strong enough the be pressed (by using your foot on the frame) into reasonably compacted earth and the cover has a generous enough over run on the ground to allow for burying by covering with earth. Once erected there was a noticeable temperature difference inside. So much so the by the next morning the ground inside which was damp from the rains earlier in the week was drying out with condensation forming on the inside of the cover. This should be ideal for growing crops that like increased warmth and humidity here in the UK. Mine, is sited at around 800 feet above sea level at the top of a south facing valley, so only time will tell if it survives one winter gale or more. I would definitely buy it again and am now considering buying a similar sized one with built in shelves, I hope you find this review useful.
anonymous 03/01/2024These tunnels last approximately 3 yrs before the plastic needs replacing which I think is fantastic for the price and where I live in high winds. The frame is still good for another few years and can double up as a netting frame .
