anonymous 15/06/2024I needed an attractive piece of furniture to hide the shoe harbour I had at my front door. This is attractive, sturdy and easily contains 8 pairs of shoes. Some of which are my grandson's size 9! However, we built this together and there were a couple of problems which we overcome with initiative and a pot of woodglue The instructions were mainly very small print pictures and in a couple of steps they had 2 steps in the same picture,not indicating whichto do first The worst problem was that the dowels on the base did not line up with the holes on the other piece.We just resolved this with plenty of woodglue. I really didn't fancy returning it! Screwing the brackets onto the door fronts needs a small steady hand. I do love the finished piece and didn't need to fasten it to the wall it's really sturdy. Not really difficult to assemble, just needs patience, initiative and a pot of woodglue. I didn't want to mess about with chipwood. Hope this helps, I did take pics but don't have them here.
