The flat has very poor ventilation and is prone to developing mould. Since using this dehumidifier, I’ve noticed a lot less condensation build-up on the windows. The digital display is handy for monitoring the humidity level so that the room doesn’t get too dry. The displayed Relative Humidity (RH) is similar to what my other hydrometers state. I leave the dehumidifier on Automatic mode with 50% RH, which is a good indoor level. I use the included hose to fill a 10 litre bucket. It takes about 5 days to fill the bucket, which gives an impression of how much moisture this is pulling from the air. The carrying handle at the top is sturdy and handy when I need to move it. I leave this dehumidifier in my hallway to take away the humidity that comes from the bathroom and kitchen. It’s a bit too loud for me to have in the bedroom. It was a fan, which isn’t too loud, but when the dehumidifier starts up, it makes a noise similar to the fridge. Overall, this is a handy little dehumidifier, which is great if you have limited space.

Powerful airflow. Good size water tank. Nice long cable. Quite responsive to changes in humidity level. Uses 200W while dehumidifying. Uses 35W while spinning the fans in between dehumidifier cycles. Under 1W while powered on but not actively doing anything. The manual does not state what level automatic mode will try to reach.

I really like this dehumidifier. I think it looks sleek and clean and it certainly seems to remove moisture from the air but it's really quite loud and the instructions could be a bit better. I've put it in my kitchen as that's where I dry my clothes (no tumble dryer) and with the cooking heat/steam, my kitchen gets a bit damp - no longer with this machine - my windows rarely steam up now and my clothes are dried in half the time. The water collector holds a fair amount and you can also attach it to a hose to drain into a bucket if you prefer. It is quite a heavy machine but has a handy handle on the top which helps. Overall, a good dehumidifier just a shame it's so noisy.

I really needed a dehumidifier to keep the moisture levels down in the house, we have a large family so there's always a ton of damp washing around. This one is more expensive than I would normally go far but the large 16L capacity is a winner for me, it makes a huge difference and covers a bigger area than my older little one. A drawback is that the container is only 5.5L though so you do have to empty it, up to 3 times a day if the maximum moisture levels are removed. You do get a hose for continuous emptying if you want to use it but it would have to empty into a large bucket/bath, etc which didn't work for me. The digital display is easy to read and use. It can be moved around room to room easily as it has castors, and the handle on top is very handy, especially considering it weighs a lot so you may need a hand if you're moving it upstairs. The main downside for me is the noise. It's really quite loud and I would never be able to sleep with it on - you can change the fan speed to a lower level which does reduce the sound some. It removed moisture from the house (the main reason!) - we went from 75% humidity to 60% in an hour, so I was really happy with that. Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives and it's definitely a good thing to have around the house this winter to prevent any mould build up, especially if you're keeping the heating off a bit more.

Capable of extracting up to 16 litres a day, from the dampest air, this unit has a choice of filling a five and a half litre water tank or connecting the supplied hose to divert water to a drain or bucket. The front LED light shows humidity levels blue ( less than 50% ) green ( between 50 & 70% ) or red ( above 70% ), making it easy to monitor and adjust settings. Open the fan flap, switch on and set it to automatic or tweak your own settings. Clicking the timer button allows you to select between one and 24r hours. 1.8 metres of mains cable allows you to move it around the room. However, my usual gripe, an appliance drawing a maximum of 1.4 Amps should be fitted with a 3 Amp fuse, not 13. 55 dB at one metre was slightly noisier than listed but very acceptable for a fan that can move 195 m³ per hour. Summary - It’s great at removing moisture and preventing dampness, mould, or condensation; and even helps to dry your laundry. The continuous drainage and timer features make it easy to use and maintain. Overall, it's a practical solution for creating a more comfortable and healthier living environment.

The HOMCOM Dehumidifier is very smart and powerful with the ability to remove up to 16l per day from damp areas and rooms, it has a a visible 5.5L water tank and optional continuous drainage with a nice LED display for monitoring room humidity and operational status, it has two fan speeds and three operational modes with adjustable humidity levels, auto defrost, memory function and inside drying function. Easy to maintain and clean with washable air filters and very manoeuvrable as its mounted on four swivel wheels with a large top carry handle. A very high end and capable unit for small medium and large areas.

Used it in 4 bed and now in 3 bedroom house. Really makes a difference!

Works great, washing drys in no time. Maybe too well as get dry eyes and throat if I leave it on too long.

An outstanding dehumidfier especially having handle and wheels, making it easy to move around. It was delivered quickly and came well packed - double boxed. It is heavy but that is to be expected for this type of dehumidifier. Also, the instruction book is a little simplistic - it could do with a bit more explanation of the symbols/controls. However, a little experimenting is all it took to get it working as required and my wife is pleased with the clothes drying function. It has been working, since it arrived, for maybe 12 hours a day during this damp winter weather and keeping our bedroom at around 50% rH. Of course, the water collected is free of contaminants and is soft so can be used for watering our acid loving plants. A good buy.
