We have a couple of grandchildren coming up to crawling age and a cocker spaniel puppy who all need protecting from our log burner. All the reviews were fab so went for this one and we couldn’t be more delighted with the quality, price, dimensions and style. It has a good weight behind it and quite high to deter little fingers and paws. The guard is such a decorative item as well. Fantastic price as well.
Trix 27/01/2024Compared to some other options that seem to resemble a fence along the Texas border, this is quite attractive and in keeping on our hearth. Whilst its not intended to be fixed to the wall, I guess you could hook it to the wall if you wanted. I got it because our little boy was starting to toddle. Being movable, he did pull it over once (which is why you may choose to fix your own hooks), but then the noise alerts you to the fact the defence has been breached. I dont find the lack of wall fixin

Pearce 16/01/2023It's been a while since I was looking for a firewall that would go with my chimney which is high, for the safety of my children. And frankly great! The style, nice. The weight, heavy for a child so perfect in my case. Opens and closes easily. No problems with the hinges unlike others. It cuts the heat from the fireplace a little. To the touch, a little warm but not hot. I highly recommend !
